BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art whose central theme is the skill of controlling a resisting opponent in ways that force him to submit. Due to the fact that control is generally easier on the ground than in a standing position, much of the technique of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is centered around the skill of taking an opponent down to the ground and wrestling for dominant control positions from where the opponent can be rendered harmless.

Cody learned this art directly from Daniel Gracie who learned his family’s art from the son of Carlos Gracie, Carlinhos Gracie, at the world famous Gracie Barra Academy in Brazil.  Years of sacrifice and training at Gracie Barra created in Daniel the will to be a champion. Earning his black belt at the age of twenty-three, Daniel is now a sixth degree black belt and also a two time World Champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Cody will share his in-depth knowledge and the secrets of Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with you!  Cody has an extensive competition resume in Wrestling, BJJ, MMA and has trained with champions from all over the World!  You could be the next one!

MMA STRIKING

Muay Thai or literally Thai boxing is a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques.  This discipline is known as the "art of eight limbs" as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins.  Muay Thai became widespread internationally in the late 20th to 21st century, when westernized practitioners from Thailand began competing in kickboxing, mixed rules matches, as well as matches under Muay Thai rules around the world.

Our classes focus on arm and leg strikes through consistency, pad work, combinations, tempo, and most importantly safety.  Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner we will have a tailored program to fit your style and training regimen.

KIDS BJJ

There really is a safe, natural and extremely effective way to take charge and positively impact every aspect of your child’s life. It doesn’t take medicine, therapy, harsh actions, or cajoling your kids to change their behavior.

Instead, it is teaching your kids self-discipline, hard work, confidence, and respect. This done in a way that empowers them while also teaching them humility, and promoting health and fitness… all at the same time.
